Energy-efficient multi-objective flexible manufacturing scheduling

This paper presents a novel scheduling of resource-constrained Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) with consideration the following sub-problems: (i) machine loading and unloading, (ii) manufacturing operation scheduling, (iii) assignment, (iv) Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) scheduling. In proposed model, both AGV machinery are considered as required resources. Energy efficiency AGVs has been studied in order to improve environmental sustainability terms linear function, which is based on load distance, accordingly. Because NP-hard characteristics problem, modified multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MMOPSO) developed for solving model compared classic version (MOPSO) algorithm five performance metrics. Finally, results evaluated by application multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) according MMOPSO outperforms MOPSO.
